Nine people died and another 12 were injured in<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p>a head-on collision that shocked the country and mobilized rescue, forensic and investigation teams.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\"><\/div>\n<p>The first analyses carried out by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG)<\/p>\n<p>indicate that the truck involved in the accident<\/p>\n<p>invaded the opposite lane of the highway, causing a direct collision with the van that was transporting workers returning to Cear\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a determining factor,\u201d said expert Hugo Leonardo.<\/p>\n<p>Tire marks, drag marks and grooves in the asphalt were fundamental to this finding, according to the experts.
